When I left Seattle in 2015 I’d always intended to move back when I could “afford it” and I can now afford what rents were back then, but not now, and it’s fucking insane that the exact apartment I rented in 2009 for $995 ($1450 in 2015) is now renting for $2,600 without a single upgrade in 15 years
