Diagrams in code comments. I feel like such an idiot. I’ve been writing software professionally for like, what, 11 years? And only ~6mo ago did I open an unfamiliar codebase, see a ASCII state diagram which spoke a thousand words in 3 seconds, and think “why have I never done this before!?”
