I've wondered this too! Although that system is so foundational to how smash feels that it might be hard to use in a unique way. Like any game with "the more damage you take, the further you get knocked back" is going to just kinda feel like smash. Could be REALLY funny in a hero shooter.

Does... Nintendo have a patent on % based health and stock from the smash games? Been taking notes on health systems and it never occured to me why I don't see this used in other games.
