It's a great movie and parallels so much of what's going on right now. Having lived in Ontario for 27 years, I can appreciate the humor from the viewpoint of both countries. It's a must see. It was, I believe, a 1995 film. It's almost as funny as Airport from 1980.

I've watched the movie probably about 10 times. I did find it funny. I finally had to tell my adult daughters that they are likely not safe in 🇨🇦 anymore and should start looking for jobs globally. I don't find any of this thread funny. 🇺🇲 and many Canadians seem to find 51st state funny.

Sadly have to disagree with you. There are 🍁 MAGA over on Instagram wanting 🇨🇦 to join 🇺🇲. 51st state merch on Amazon. Just watched a cutsie 🍁 MAGA video asking Trump to pick us to be part of 🇺🇲. It's 10% of 🇨🇦 and they should pack their bags, put on their MAGA merch and head south.

I'm not leaving until my children do, but then who knows where we will end up. I will definitely never be American. Greenland, Panama, Canada and probably Mexico are not safe from 🇺🇲 right now.

It's not funny but keep in mind that half of Americans depise Trump as much as Cdns do and would fight to defend Canada against the US and too would other NATO countries.
