I’m a VA nurse and the hiring process takes a good year. I’m a PACT/specialty LPN. Even though my title says specialty, I had to go through the whole hiring process to literally become a specialty nurse which has been rescinded because of Trump and now I can’t move forward.

This something that is very concerning to me down here in Florida. The VA clinics and hospitals are plentiful and the quality of care and help is good in the majority of locations. Trumps attempts at throwing a wrench in this system needs to be stopped.
We all know he wants to privatize the VA.

About one third of federal employees are veterans, I wonder how many veterans will be fired? I thought this administration loved veterans? They certainly made sure to include disabled veterans by adding the A to DEI.

Yes! All it means is the application is on the stack. There are crazy HR rules about job description and aligning the hire to that and you have to turn in all your notes and emails. If you make the "paper cut" (resume review) you have the minimum qualifications.

It's been proven many times that resumes with "white" sounding names are pushed through over others with the exact same qualifications. DEI combats that.
