A regular visitor to the school garden where I volunteer

Spring has sprung from California in my Sacramento garden.

Little guy accidentally found his way inside. Time for release. 🐦 🌱 🌸🦋 #Hummingbird #Nature #birds

Salix gracilistyla Mount Aso Unobtrusive for much of the year but glorious now 🌱

It's snowing AGAIN today. This has been such a dreary winter (in more ways than weather). Here's my Snow-in Summer (Cerastium tomentosum), which is the best way to have snow in the garden. It gets a bit weedy looking when it doesn't have flowers, but it does make a good ground cover.🌱

I didn't notice these little beauties when I pulled up earlier until I got out of my van 🌱

The Spokane Orchid Society meeting was last night, so I'm about to bomb your skyline with some gorgeous flowers from the show-and-tell. YOU'RE WELCOME. Also, sorry I didn't have time to take pictures of all the nametags, and forgive the fisherman's forced perspective on this first Vanda. #orchids 🌱

This Red Aloe (aloe cameronii) survived its first summer in the ground but took some hits from sun exposure. It's looking better now and recently started blooming. #Aloe #GardeningFeed #flowers #gardening #plantsky

Almost Friday 💕 Will we get another snow day tomorrow? ❄️🌨️❄️ 💕🌸🌺🌼🪻🍁🇨🇦🧵🌻🌹💐🌱🌷🥀

On day 8 of my #nativeplant posts, here is the brilliantly crimson Hollyleaf Redberry (Endotropsis crocea subsp. ilicifolia), another #californianativeplant. #naturephotography #berries #photography

So far, my cold hardy perennial pepper seems to be surviving the snow! 🌱

🌱 nomnomnoms. I was pleasantly surprised to come across bananas growing amongst a Lotus display. I'd not seen them at this stage of their cycle. #gardening #flower #fruit

TRUMP HELPED RUSSIA The US shouldn't have made concessions to Russia in advance of peace negotiations by ruling out Nato membership for Ukraine and accepting the country would have to forfeit some of its territory, Germany’s defence minister has said. TRUMP IS A TRAITOR, SEEMS TO WORK FOR RUSSIA

calmatters.org/environment/... even if no one cares about the fish and delta environment, this order risk salt water encroachment that can pollute farmland and groundwater that millions of people depend upon for drinking water!

Some more of my poetry and photography #birds #owls Back in the safety of the sycamore, hot summer days are no more- Winters' chill is on his way, and a morning sun with no plans to stay. A time to retreat and slow, reflect and know- all untruths eventually fall.

What a strange month in which to find myself reading Octavia Butler for the first time. “It seems almost criminal that you should be so young in these terrible times. I wish you could have known this country when it was still salvageable.”

The concept of what makes a monster (and if monsters are deserving of love) is something I circle a lot in my books. Personally, I've identified with the monster of a lot of properties more than their "normal" counterparts. ANYWAY. (The Monster Theory Ready, edited by Jeffrey Andrew Weinstock)

Just saw this guy coming up into the garden! Photos taken through glass. I know those antlers are sharp, had to take chicken wire off buck's antlers b4 & his antlers pushed into my chest as I worked on removing the wire (which I did, took a while, he was skittish but wanted help). #mammals ❤️🦌❤️

When you go to Moraine Lake at Banff National Park and hike up toward Larch Valley, there is a nice view of Fay Glacier. It makes a nice panoramic shot. #art #photography #banff #glaciers #larchvalley #alberta #canada #landscape #panorama #canon #nature Prints —> adamjewell.com/featured/fay...
