Thirteen years ago today, on February 22, 2012, the Assad regime assassinated American journalist Marie Colvin & French photographer Rémi Ochlik in a targeted attack in Homs, Syria.

They were, at the time, working to share the stories of Syrian civilians living under siege in Homs.
