For myself, I just had a flock of vultures swoop down to consume a chicken carcass next door, by the canal behind my house. (nb: Live in Palm Beach County close enough to airport that Secret Service choppers fly over us often.)
It’s probably a fledgling just fallen (or flapped ineffectively) from the nest. He’s rumpled and unfinished looking. Usually, the parents won’t be far off. He’s adorable.
i keep hearing owls and i never see any. at first i thought some kids were messing about, sounds like someone making a bird noise in a movie. but it's been going on for like 6 years now. it give a nice twin peaks atmosphere for night runs in forest
