Taking our anger out on those who don't have anything to do with this mess is terrible. But the bigger issue is that when people target these cars & dealerships, it distracts from Musk's horror show & puts the spotlight on those destroying the cars. It hurts, not helps our side. We don't need that.
Exactly. All it does is give ammo to the people who claim that the left just wants to destroy things. By all means, protest, boycott, etc. But we don’t need to destroy people’s vehicles. Like it or not, that IS a crime, and it’s not doing anything to hurt the regime.
counterpoint: if they're aware enough to know cybertrucks exist, they're aware enough to know what musk is like, and they chose to support him and his business
maybe at least pressure them into not being a repeat customer
I know people who own Teslas but hate Trump & Musk. I know others who put bumperstickers on their cars that read "I bought this before Elon went crazy." I just think this isn't where we should be putting our energy. Let's not make enemies of people who are on our side and just happen to own a Tesla.
Creating an environment in which it is socially uncomfortable to own and drive a Tesla hurts their image and their sales, which hurts their stock.
Hurting their stock damages Musk’s finances and reduces his ability to harm America.
Then keep protesting in front of the dealerships. But vandalizing someone's property should never be an option. Because Musk then gets to play the victim, and the GOP stands behind him and points to us as evil, and it gives Trump a reason to do even worse things.
But they helped cause this, actively encourage it, perpetuate it. They deserve all the hell that gets unleashed in the flood...and TIL in these comments that Tesla cyber trucks apparently don't do so well in water.
Most bought their cars before Musk got involved in the government. If they perpetuated it then you could say anyone on FB, Instagram or who buys from Amazon, Walmart, or Whole Foods are perpetuating it. We have to stay focused on Trump, his administration, and Musk & encourage others to do the same.
Cybertrucks came after Musk had turned twitter into a nazi site and was already part of the Trump campaign. The aesthetic and the intent of it are unambiguous. If you're driving a cybertruck today, you knew exactly what you were buying in to.

Shame away.
It came out recently. No excuses about not knowing Musk.
It’s a stupid, stupid vehicle. Driving one a $100,000+ declaration that you are a Musk fanboi who values form over function AND has bad taste.
Which is why there's fewer than 50k on the road.
