Unlikely. It seems to just be a difference of mental development in humans that has likely existed since we developed societies. Once we understood what it was, it became extremely easy to tell who had it in the past, and who currently has it. You can’t GET autism. You have to be born with it.
Now in my 60s, l was diagnosed in my 40s. I am Autistic and ADHD. RFK is not medically educated in AUTISM/ADHD. An autistic person doesn’t HAVE Autism, they ARE Autistic. Autism is not a disease, we don’t need ‘fixing’ and most important, we ARE NOT burdens but to our families or society.
As great as the "nothing to cure" mindset is for other stuff, as an autistic person, fuck that noise. If a cure for autism was possible, I'd be first in line for it. My life would be so much better without this stupid bullshit holding me back

Autism is actually dictated by genetics. It’s definitely existed for a long time, as the signs have always been there, people of the past just never understood them. It just seems to be a regular difference generated in humans.
No, the ability to be unhealthily obese always existed, as well as severe mental illness. And humans are actually extremely vulnerable to cancers, so that’s always been a thing. Cancer became an epidemic due to it being noticed more, and stuff like tobacco. Obesity is just American gluttony.
None of this would be happening if doctors didn't start washing their hands. To imply gentlemen of such caliber are dirty is insult beyond reproach, I say. Hmm, yes, quite.

I am pretty sure that I had hyperalkaline-phosphatemia of adolescence when I was 13. However, the condition was not defined or recognized until I was in medical school. I remember sitting through that lecture and thinking, “hey, that’s me!“

My mother was what's now known as bipolar. It's a condition first described by Hippocrates before 370 BC. It wasn't named bipolar until 1980. But it existed. Autism has also been called other names. But it has existed as long as there have been homosapiens, I'm sure.
