Confronting low approval ratings and a neck-and-neck race against Donald Trump, President Biden is now racing to tell voters about his accomplishments, in ways big and small.

History will look far more favorably on Biden than it will on media outlets such as NYT who have placed democracy at risk with their desire to give both sides equal credibility.
Failed presidency on all counts: economy, foreign policy, border issues, crime rate/safety…
Poor decisions and most importantly his mild cognitive impairment-or early dementia like signs…
It’s scary to know his VP as his replacement… she is totally incompetent!
Trump not good either😬😬
Plenty to brag about and more to do:
-Removed a fascist from office
-Largest climate change bill in world history
-Largest infrastructure investment in a generation
-Billions in student loan debt forgiven
-Brought back tons of mfg. jobs
-Capped insulin and drug costs for Medicare
-and more...
-Kept inflation lower than any other country during post-pandemic recovery
-record low unemployment
-massive wage gains among lowest income brackets
-cut childhood poverty in half, fighting to keep those gains
All in the 2 yrs they had both houses of Congress with a 1 vote majority in the Senate.
Do you think maybe it's possible that Americans are skeptical because you've refused to cover any of the numerous accomplishments Biden has achieved? You'd rather have your horse-race election coverage.
Agree. I want to add though that the democrats messaging is purposefully weak to help even the scales and keep the country as close to evenly divided as possible. Division opposes progress and allows the greedy to keep hoarding. media/politicians and anything that can be bought, is.
Too bad you guys at the @nytimes.com are incapable of publishing anything even remotely fair to Biden. It is so obvious that you genuinely hate the guy.
I noted it felt like it swayed when my family drove over it. It got fixed; others will not if you think no-loads GOP or Trump is better. Can you name any worthwhile legislation in this country that made anyone's lives better or addressed problems by GOP/Trump? Neither can I. ... 4
meanness and unfairness, did not happen. Complain now, spoiled ones; your complaints will get louder, only, no one will hear. Hope this bridge drop don't happen in your town. I was on the one two weeks before it fell in Minnesota. ... 3
what they have; not us and life is dictated with our freedoms, liberties & rights disappearing. This is what the Germans saw; they heard the great and wonderful things Hitler said in those exhilarating speeches, but that, other than the cruelty, ... 2
Skeptecle is when all those accomplishments go away, the wages go way down, the promises made, other than the cruelty, meanness and unfairness, do not happen. The jobs condense and disappear, more homeless appear on the streets, the rich flaunt -talk ... 1
Maybe he has to do that because sanctimonious journalists and editors who work for the Times and other major outlets can't be bothered to tell the public what's actually going on in the country.
All presidents and their supporters like to brag about accomplishments, and they're always full of crap. Biden has arguably been the best president of my lifetime on domestic issues, but that's only because the bar is absurdly low.
They can see with their own eyes whether they think things are good or not. You can't convince people it's morning in America when they don't believe it. Biden currently has a 39% job approval rating, and by 64%-26% think the country is on the wrong track, so he's headed for a double digit loss.
Those same polls show that an overwhelming percentage of Americans say they're personally doing great. They only think Biden is doing terrible because all they hear is bad news from the media or their bubbles. A lot haven't heard of what he's actually done or how things have turned around since 2021
Also Dems have been outrunning polls pretty consistently!! Registered vs likely voters also generally favors them. The red wave polls called for in ‘22 never happened. Biden also has a cash advantage around $100 million(!!) while Trump is using his money for legal bills. In tight races, that matters
I don’t think showing me approval ratings from 70+ years ago is a great way to “sound an alarm”. Politics has shifted radically since then if you’ve noticed. I disapprove of him and I’m going to vote for him and I know for a fact I’m not alone.
This election is close precisely because the media has ignored all the positive things Biden has done, written endless "and here's why it's bad news for Biden" pieces and continues to print whatever Trump claims without much pushback or correction.

It's not like people haven't realized that your paper will misrepresent the truth if the truth favors Dems or puts conservatives in a bad light.
What bullshit angling and headline. 👎👎👎👎👎
Tell them your goals.
There are plenty of people who honestly have no idea what Biden has done because the media has spent more time badmouthing him.
You're actively trying to get Trump to win.
