Fans gotta be a little more realistic. Firing the coach when they did was never going to make things better. They've got some talent. Williams just needs time to develope. But gotta nail the upcoming coaching hire.
I've been a Bears fan since the 60's when they played at Wrigley Field. With the exception of the McManon years, the Bears have been a mediocre team. The best years were when they were the Monsters of the Midway' & could beat Green Bay. If 1st round picks can't help them, nothing can. #sad #daBears
The defense showed up for both teams it was ugly win for the hawks but Chicago fans need to have a little faith the bears are going to be agood team that defense is tuff and Williams is going to be realy good just a couple of players away.
I worked at Soldier Field during their glorious Super Bowl Season. Worked the 50 yard line as a 16 year old. It was glorious. We knew the next season that the McCaskey family was truly awful and knew nothing about football.
It’s sad. I’m a Seahawk fan. Am I frustrated? Yes w/offense, but would I ever start screaming in the stands yelling negative about the team I love & have been following since 1983 I do not understand fans who try to put people down instead of trying to lift them up, & as a fan. I don’t get it!
Blame the Bears season on the Head Coach, the QB Coach. They need to stop trying to remold Williams, He doesn't fit into a 1950s mold of a QB, he won the Heisman Trophy in College, which means he can play. integrate his college plays into your playbook, and turn him loose, let him win games.
As long as the owner makes money on gate tickets & the concessions, not going to sell. If you don't go they'll wind up selling the team sooner or later it's just like in retail we are the problem for the high prices becuz we go in & shop like we have money. Stop shopping they'll lower the prices
For the NBA, profit from ticket, concessions, and merch do not cover the salaries of players.
TV coverage is king. Last year the media rights deals were approved and will bring the league about $76 billion over 11 years.
Not going to games (punishing yourself) won't hurt THEM at all.
When you commit to protesting - rebellion & resistance nothing is left on the table. If you don't go to the game you don't buy the ticket you don't buy the concession you don't buy the products the TV stations use as ad rev something's going to bend if enough happens something's going to break.🇺🇸🐉
Well, nothing will change for at least for the next 11 years.
Your call to action is commendable but it's like other boycotts of global mega-corporations that come and go with little fan-fare.
fwiw...I'm boycotting Apple Inc, Spotify, and Papa Johns. They should be 'feeling it' any time now.👍
Anything we can do puts a kink in the armor, enough kinks and they'll start to feel it. I don't believe it will take 11 years I believe they're going to feel it in 2 years.
It’s not just the Chicago Bears. The @NFL is charging outrageous prices for an awful product. Most of the teams just suck. They will continue to lose their fan base.
I don’t disagree with you. The product often sucks, but online gambling has made the NFL even richer. Ratings are higher than they have ever been. As long as they are making money, why change anything?
I grew up watching but pretty much hate watching games. Product sucks. Most players are Prima-Donna’s. The refs protect certain players and teams and think they’re more important than the players. Wont watch any of games on Saturday. I refuse to purchase the NFL Networks.
It isn’t the product that will cost them. Boxing did this. Kept putting its product on limited feeds and pay to watch. It shrinks the fanbase. If you want to watch football you need espn, paramount+, Netflix, Prime. It’ll get worse. We’re not far from straight up Pay-Per-View Super Bowls.
I am going to run for office on this platform: any sporting event played in a stadium built with public money or local tax credits must be televised on a network that is accessible to all. Stuff like Thursday Night Football on Prime is bullshit.
You say that now, but when you’re outspent in the Leviton by your opponents who all took that sweet, sweet Bezos money, you’ll change your tune or lose. Politics is already pay to play. How do you think AOC just lost her minority chair position?
It’s a good thing the NFL only has a couple Saturday games. That allows you to catch most of the other games that are broadcast on Sunday’s, Monday’s, and Thursday’s.🤭😏
Read the Wikis on both women. My original comment was obviously fluff
While she is a “nepo-baby”, Sheila Ford Hamp is also a serious football person, even if she hasn’t always made the right moves (her moves lately have been pretty good).
McCaskey is just a nepo-baby. From a different era.
It's Chicago. The Owners of the teams are making war on their fans, who still show up to the Stadium and buy overpriced tickets. There's nothing else to do in Chicago. It's a farm by the lake.
been a bear fan my whole life and this by far the most talented team they’ve ever had. to blame caleb for any of this is absolute nonsense! this organization has never known how to develop talent and if they don’t get an offensive minded coach next year caleb’s dad better get him outta there!
As a 30+ year resident of Chicago & suburbs I think it’s obvious that the McCaskeys will never do what it takes to make the Bears a winner until fans stop filling up Soldier Field EVERY week to watch this crap no matter how bad it gets! JFC BBQ in the cold & play “bags” in your backyard.
B..b..b..but all they need is a billion dollar handout from taxpayers for an all-new stadium, that'll fix the problem, right? Somebody think of the billionaires!
I love how those of us in Oakland started the "Sell the Team" chant against a dipshit owner (John Fisher) who's not only cheap, but won't keep the team in town, yet fans of these other teams like the Bears and Jets are chanting "Sell the Team" merely because their teams are garbage.
Every time I see stories like this at the end of American Sports seasons, I think the Europeans do it right with their "Football" (soccer). Relegation and promotion would solve so many problems with bad ownership groups.
Yeah we know. Bears, Jets, and Knicks, same crappy teams different uniforms - overrated and overhyped. No one cares, outside their suffering fan base, so please stop making them sound like they matter nationally.
They don’t !
Bears 2007, 1986
Jets 1969
Knicks 1999, 1994 since winning it in 1973
When a Team loses Heart…It’s not jus’disappointing to Fans, PlayersThemselves FeelLost! 🤔Who’s TheTeam’s ImmediateMgr? 😵💫Who’s NotInspiringThem? 👁️👁️ There’s NoDoubt aHostOfReasons 2PickFrom! Sadly, it’s 2Late for them! But Players’re Resilient! They jus’need Inspiration & ❤️! #PlayBallAgain
As a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, I can empathize. The Lions finally started to win when a strong owner stepped up and set the tone for a winning culture. She has been a breath of fresh air.

The NFL is as real as the NBA
Both listed as ENTERTAINMENT
SPORTS!
What qb will they take.
Had a qb rating of like 63 in the 4th qtr for his career.
38 fumbles in 38 starts.
Chemistry
Avg. ticket price $123
Good to see Chicago fans giving ownership a $7 million gate in a creaky, old, paid-off stadium to send a strong message of their "dismay."
LOL. Owners laughing all the way to the bank.

papa johns = about 20 years
Apple inc = over 10 years
Spotify = about 4 years
I hope you're right.
Have a great time, bombaycrone!
All of the upcoming college playoffs are on ESPN. Too bad if you don’t have cable.

Sticking with a team just makes the winning seasons better.
