I don’t live in NYC, but following this issue from afar, it does seem like most people who do live there seem to generally like the way this program has been playing out in practice, so it’s pretty maddening to see it targeted by the present administration. Not surprising, but still maddening.

As a New Yorker I’m pro-Congestion Pricing. In fact a majority of the people of NYC support it when polled. For any federal agency to try and remove it would be a blatant overreach and a direct assault on state-rights. Isn’t state-rights what MAGA has always bellowed about?

Agree. We're just being used as cash cows. Nothing is being done to help us get into the city better. They depend on us coming in. So we get hit with $25 just to commute into NYC in order to supplement a fare of $2.90. But, change it thru a legal process.

All of these things existed in NJ for the past 30 years. I could have left my childhood home in rural ass NJ, walked a mile, hopped on a NJT bus, connected to another bus and be in NYC in 2 hours tops.

Threats to withhold funding of a 120 year old subway system that transports 3.6 million people each day (people who are not in cars) and then ordering the end to other actions to mitigate auto traffic (adding another 100,000 cars to the congestion) is INSANE.
