Amtrak suspended service for several hours between Penn Station in New York and the main rail station in Philadelphia after one of its trains struck and killed a father and two of his adult sons in Bristol, Pennsylvania, on Thursday.

That was my reading as well. I thought maybe the train ran a signal or jumped the track. Instead it is just another case of The New York Times writing misleading headlines.
And what's with all the unrelated Trump comments? I can't even enjoy one Trump-free moment reading about train accidents without you all masochists bringing me down. Seriously, it's weird. Stop it.
"The police were responding to a call around 5:58 p.m" and the victims were struck 12 minutes later. Why were they on the tracks? I wonder if we'll ever know.
Tragic. I have trouble imagining the details of how that could go down though, how someone could make themselves so immovable on the tracks to thwart two people so desperate to remove them. They were on foot I assume or a vehicle would’ve been mentioned.
