I need to find a source for hotdogs that aren't the worst foodstuff on the planet. Olympia provisions makes some great sausages. Would love to hear some other suggestions.

As a Chicagoan, I will always suggest to try a Chicago hot dog since the Vienna Beef frank was made to have a snap.

If you get it from a Portillo's outside of the city, beware. Better to try in Chicago proper.

I lived in FL for almost 10 years after college, and we've had places from Illinois 'expats' that seem alright until you compare it to Chi-town. Hell we have Portillo's in FL now and it's awful - they steam the buns for too long, and it's all mush once you eat it.
