It's one part of the reason I feel like readers have latched onto the idea that JGT is a "TERF GoI", rather than a tradfem one. I guess another part of it is that the only recurring characters people seem to care about are the trans dude, his shitty sister, and KeeLee.

There's another part of me that wonders if my disappointment isn't just sour grapes over Theresa and Madeleine (outside of some very talented artists) being ignored.

At the same time, like... Madeleine and Theresa were 100% intended to demonstrate the link between tradfems, racism, and transphobia.

I'm not going to say it's symptomatic of anything; nobody has to use my weirdo fascist sexpest villains. But the characters most used in a GoI are what define it. Think about GAW without Jude, JJ, Esther, or bones, and tell me whether you think you'd have the same group. We need more recurring chars

Another big thing is that a lot of the works feel formulaic. JGT releases some memetic hazard, we get chat logs about it, someone tries to escape. There's not much on the interpersonal workings of the group, or a lot of interiority for most characters. Even a brainwashed character has good potential

I'd agree. Much of JGT often suffers from a lack of interiority in the articles. Honestly, the deep interiority you gave characters in your JGT articles was always one of the biggest things I appreciated about them. I'd also agree with the comments on the hub.

Some aspects of it *do* end up replicating what it criticises. And a lot of depictions of KeeLee *do* depict her as just a flat mix of 'bigotry + always wins'. One thing I really liked about your JGT articles is, even if the evil characters win, the interiority of the characters makes it not feel-

Admittedly, there's some directions taken I quite like.
* 6679 is an interesting take on how JGT is exploited by outsiders for cynical purposes. It's short, but it shows the potential of the group to interact with the broader anomalous world.
