To be fair to Roberts (not that he deserves it), SCOTUS ruled Trump couldn’t be criminally prosecuted for presidential acts, not that anything he did would be considered legal. But without the threat of criminal liability, Trump dares the courts to enforce injunctions against his illegal orders.

Yes, he will not be punished. But the fact that HE can’t be prosecuted doesn’t mean that a court can’t call his actions illegal and order him to stop doing it or to undo it. How the courts can enforce an order to stop breaking the law is the big question. Only his subordinates can be jailed.
