I found this one exactly 50 years, 30 days and 6 hours ago. It has always been in my bedroom en later offices. It is so dry that it will almost float in the air. I cut it off a willow tree while picking mushrooms for dinner. These ones are edible but taste like nothing. Like eating a fried sponge.

It's funny how I always think the "real plastic snow" in my little Christmas village looks so fake. But then I look at real snow close up and I realize it's not all that different-looking after all! Love this little cup.
In general, I don't like mushrooms in my food, so imagine my surprise how I've come to enjoy, even look forward to, your simply beautiful mushroom photos.
