Suddenly having stuff nearby in college made me realize I really liked movies, but it was moving to Portland, ME and a few blocks away from The Movies on Exchange Street that I realized, yeah, I liked them enough to pick up the schedule and watch documentaries in this tiny basement theater.

I'm totally going to steal this as an idea for a prompt. I'm wondering about a lot of my peers and followers what turned them into cinephiles. For me, it was working in a theater as a teenager in 1984, and starting to see things I would never have paid for (like AMADEUS and THE COMPANY OF WOLVES).
