Too right! And now we have a 53% increase in bills! Nationalise them and the Water companies debts also need to be cancelled so the banks pick up the bills for irresponsible loans and not the taxpayer. Get rid of Offwat as well while you’re at it, it is useless.

We're still affected by this in the new forest,and we're now on the second evening with no water. Our son is off school as well (he's not complaining). Unbelievable timing to hear our bills are now going up by about 50%

Taking back control of our water supply and treatment is essential.
Profiteering at the expense of infrastructure investment and preventative maintenance is the most likely cause of much of Hampshire being turned into a refugee camp this week. Enough is enough.

Similar issue in Hastings area in 2023. No running water for 5 days and provision of bottled water was chaotic - to put it very kindly. SW wriggled out of providing compensation despite having known for years about the issue that caused the outage.

OFWAT is a joke. It is time Parliament stepped in. The regulators are useless. Get rid of them all. Does the ruling that the water companies can increase our bills include something that limits shareholder dividends? @ukparliament.parliament.uk
