Switch 2 console price itself ain’t that bad imo. I feel like the Wii U was much worse, and the original Switch was pricey due to intentional shortages

prices are bad but I think whatever playstation and xbox drop in the next couple of years is gonna be stupid expensive in comparison. Probably gonna stutter at launch and then pick up speed.

Nintendo isn't the first one to do the "Pay For Upgraded Versions" thing. Playstation did that first when the PS5 was released. They SOMETIMES gave out free upgrades, but not always.

That’s a problem for every single industry though. It isn’t exclusive to gaming. I’m not saying it doesn’t suck, I am saying it’s expected. There are more important things to complain about in regards to inflation like housing and food. But I’m not sure why people act like gaming would be exempt.

Im just surprised that people are surprised. Especially with the tariffs it’s just going to get worse. For games too, they will have to find a way to make back the profit they’re gonna lose on their console. And I know the noble thing would be for them to not make a profit but then they won’t

Make games at all. They’re not in it for the love of the game tho, sure the devs are, but the company is just another corporate entity. This is a capitalism problem and an inflation problem. Every single industry has inflated so it costs more to make parts and such.

Yeah but we're already paying to get into the ecosystem, literally like 500 dollars, but then we're getting gatekept on the upgrades unless you spend even more? Just seems weird that they even costs anything, unless they're the DLC/Expansion things like Kirby.
