I generally disagree with the concept of blocklists. Too much room for 'abuse'. Put people you want to surpress in some MAGA list. It's also kinda laughable that you can be blocked by 100+ people because of a hashtag that or the use of a word (like AFD).

To be clear, that was not an attack on a list you made or saying you would do such a thing. I just worry that bad faith stuff, like putting a few people you don't like onto a bot banning list, could become a habit.

Text processing is full of important details. Variability (e.g. lowercase vs upper), data quality (e.g. typos). This is a classification problem. You're bound to have false positives & false negatives if you use heuristics. Manually cured lists will be more accurate, but require more work.

Yes, this is paramount. A very important point by you and Kraut that well meaning people ostensibly with us or on our side may overlook. We need "IF THEN ELSE" style programming loops with blocking.
e.g. IF = "Russia" THEN check "Fuck" Russia; flag=ok ELSE block 😉

I don't think we should have MAGA, #fckafd or #fckbsw blocklists. We're here to fight their propaganda, and it doesn't help if we don't even see this. The reporting works exceptionally well here on BS, so I'd rather report than stay in a nice clean bubble. Just my 2ct.
