Uranium is not a rare earth mineral, so I hope it is not included in the Trump deal. Remember, Ukraine has the 9th largest Uranium deposits in the world. The largest in Europe. If there is to be a future for independent European nuclear energy then we need Ukrainian Uranium in the E.U. - ThreadSky

Canada also has large uranium deposits *and* a pretty neat nuclear technology for export, the CANDU reactor. 🇨🇦 and 🇵🇱 signed an MOU on nuclear energy recently. I’m hoping it’s the first of many - transatlantic cooperation between EU and CAN is gonna be crucial in the next century

It's left unsaid but uranium is on the table as rare earth minerals are separated from uranium deposits as well. Consider it part of the deal to be added later.

Ukraine’s uranium is important , but if there is a future for independant european nuclear (and there ought to be ) , it’s in the uranium contained in european-owned waters . There are more than 100 million tons in the french EEZ alone . The tech to retrieve it is progressing fast .

The US imports 25% of its uranium from Canada, and they're threatening to slap a 10% tariff on that to coerce us into surrendering our sovereignty.

I hope Ukraine agrees to the deal and ships boxes of tailings accompanied with fat bribes for the inspectors, treating Trump as a Yanukovich.
