QAnon was a completely online fantasy built on nothing but lies. Of course that sprouted from the Right which is basically an online meme factory of propaganda now.

It's one of the things that handcuffs them. They're way too concerned about owning the libs online to put any work into implementing their plans in a sustainable way.
They think now in images and influencer sound bites and it's a steady drumbeat. When I left about a decade ago, I realized then just how much of it was an insular propaganda bubble. It has only gotten worse.
You left at the right time. I have a hard time having any respect for a conservative who tried ignore both Trump and QAnon destroying the GOP. *McCain rolling over in his grave so much since he died*
My wife’s best friend was a normie republican her whole life, until she moved to DC for law school and met professional Republicans and thought “oh fuck, these people are *nuts*”
It's interesting to me, looking back, that the final straw for me exiting the GOP was Bush/Gonzalez firing the US Attorneys to politicize the DOJ. It was such an obvious red line, and now it seems unfortunately quaint.
I started getting out around '06 and finally exited fully by 12. It's astounding to see what it's evolved into. Not even a smear of any sort of organized thought, just rage, clickbait and memes.
