Just imagine what will happen when all the countries on the "tariff hit list" begin divesting from the U.S. debt they currently hold. Hope the stable genius can manage the replacement of the approximately $8.5 trillion in U.S. Treasury securities. Should be interesting.

I am certain when Mark Carney and Donald Trump spoke, the Prime Minister scared the shit out of Trump with respect to US bonds and debt held by Canada.
Going to be interesting to see how JPow navigates this. This is his second defining moment.

Now what were you saying about US bonds @realtexaspaul.com
This is from 22 days ago. I read it as selling the debt.
I thought the two were distinct.
Japan is the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt, with over $1 trillion, followed by China ($759 billion) and the United Kingdom ($723 billion).
The US has a national debt currently a record $35.77 trillion.
A crumbling economy propped up by supplying WMD to countries around the world Countries are starting to dump the US Dollar and join BRICS that's investing in infrastructure renewables and their natural resources.
It is devastating!

What’s to stop Trump just saying nope we’re bankrupt & then wiping the slate clean? That’s what he’s done with every business.
Countries aren't charging the tariffs claimed
The made up number is based on exports to US - imports to US divided by exports to US
EU: exports 531.6, imports 333.4, deficit 198.2. 198.2/531.6 is 37, close to 39. [source: X]
He hit his own citizens harder than us
Our deficit is $61.9 Billion, we can pay that off and have a little change for rearming the CAF. Also for building new highways, rail lines & an entire military aviation industry. & still have a little change for 15 new destroyers.
& still have a little..
