Switch 2 is going to be the target platform for every Japanese dev, so Japanese games will work on PS5 indefinitely, and the Western industry is falling apart so nobody cares if Westerners target the PS6

Games are still being released on PS4, and I really doubt that'll change in 2 years.
So you would still get regular releases on a console that by that point will be 2 generations behind.

If games take 4-5 years to make, generations need to be longer to compensate. Especially if they’re coming to PC anyway. The switch was probally to long but you at least got more games on it then could ever possibly ask for

The Switch being too long is ultra-exacerbated by it being outdated hardware by the time it shipped. The PS5 was really compelling shit when it came out, legitimately did not need an immediately replacement. Devs need to better scope projects and stop with aggressive FSR2!
