Belmont Estate? I don’t disagree, especially when the presented evidence shows, but I am confused. I was of the impression that a Belmont was an Astra with a boot, not hatch, so an estate of either would be the same thing?

It seems the estate was called the Astra Belmont estate after the facelift, not sure if that was all specs or just fancier ones.

I'm sure someone at Vauxhall had a good rationale for it (or maybe not).

Ah, but only the LXi was a Belmont, I think. Other trims were still Astra Estates.

Belmonts were so much better than the Urinal competitor. I have never heard of or seen a Belmont estate.

Incredibly difficult to choose between the Belmont CD and the LXi Estate. Both fantastic cars, and properly quick for their time. Much better cars than the equivalent Ford offerings.

Just a typo that. Fun fact. Almost 10% of Belmonts on the road in 2003 were stolen at some time. We had a dozen or so at work in SXi trim. 5 were stolen, 3 never recovered

He'd just come back from recovering a stolen one that morning, and took me through the whole deal whilst we were waiting for our appointment. One screwdriver did it all :)

Oh wow, that's not a good record.

I thought the same about the Belmont not being an estate, but I've since been told that they did indeed do an Astra Belmont estate after the face lift (who knows why).
