Games like that are super fun and such a rich rewarding experience, everybody should have at least one sick single-player campaign under their belt cuz it's such a way to experience a story
Dad took me a long time to get into days gone and I still haven't beat it good luck with Red Dead 2 I played it when it was in beta way back when it came out and I played it all the way up until like when they stopped updating it
My advice is to take your time with it. I’m currently in my third playthrough and first time taking it slow and its a dream. Hunting, fishing and exploring is done so beautiful on the game.
Nice. Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t just a game—as you say, it’s an experience. The story, the world, the characters… everything about it pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Easily one of the best games ever made. 🎮🐴
I received it as a gift (along with the original). After getting through the first game, I stopped playing RDR2 because it was a prequel where I couldn't play as John. It took a year to decide to give it a chance, but boy, do I hate not giving it that chance the first time. Such a phenomenal game!
I played it for the first time about a year ago, and i felt the same. Once i really got into it i was hooked. It's gotta be up there as one of the best of our generation.
Excited for you, the storytelling experience they managed to evoke from that game is astounding. Truly the most soul-touched I've ever felt from a video game.
Do you know how many gamers are jelly of this? I think I would give a big toe to play that game for the first time again. I wish you at least a hundred hours of great game play.
Haha! I feel the same about Dark Souls, I feel so jealous when people get to experience it for the first time. I'm really taking my time with RDR2, I promise!
My question is if your on pc will you get the pc version of RD1? I loved it on the console back in the day. Ave not completed RD2 yet. Am on and off it as I have many long term games on the go.
That game me my cry-both in actual tears and tears of laughter, like when I missed jumping onto my horse, accidentally spear tackled a woman in St. Denis and literal whole town tried to kill me. GF I said I was SORRY.
Yeah, I never tried the multiplayer even once since the game came out, because the single player gives you so much things to do. Even on the second or third playthrough you’ll still find new things to discover
Better late than never. If you get too distracted with side quests and exploring (like me) I'd say steamroll the story. Though, there are some side quests which are precious for post game.
Every couple of years, I replay the game just to experience it anew. Arthur Morgan is quite literally one of the best characters ever created in any form of media
I found it last year and I was the same: why did I wait so long to take the plunge?
Great immersive game and the only one that turned me into a black hat villain from the start, which is strange because I usually pick the good choices.
Don't feel bad. I got it when it came out. Played it for like an hour and said it wasn't that good. Saw a bunch of cool videos about it this year so I gave it another try. Couldn't put it down and was just blown away by it.
I found this to be the opposite for me so I really couldn’t get in to the slower pace (primarily a soulsborne fan) That said I know will eventually come to love it if I just persevere. Had same
Thing recently with BG3 but now many hundreds of hours in
It's a truly stunning world with a fantastic story and great characters. Just a shame that even in 2018 the actual shooting and gameplay mechanics felt really dated. Not bad per se, just not up to the standard of the rest of the game.
Arthur became my favorite when rdr2 came out I must confess I’ve played for weeks and months on it till I got to the end it was teary but man what a story
I started playing this again 2 months ago (because I only played the first 60% and for unfortunate reasons had to stop and restart years later) and I will always remember Arthur Morgan and the gang. 🩵
I've played a few shooters (long ago) and was OK but far from great at them. What shooting there is in RD2 depends somewhat on your play choices, although it is unavoidable at certain points. But there's a lock-on mode which helps out a lot, and the controls are simple enough.
I just restarted a playthrough (my first had a game breaking bug and I never went back). So I am experiencing it for the first time too. So far so good!
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of those games that completely pulls you in from the start. The world feels so alive and immersive—it’s easy to see why it’s considered one of the best. What’s been your favorite part of the experience so far?

God knows what GTA 6 graphics will be like...

Make sure you don’t ignore the side quests either, they’re some of the best-written side content this side of The Witcher 3!
Great immersive game and the only one that turned me into a black hat villain from the start, which is strange because I usually pick the good choices.

You'll love it.
Afterwards go retro with RDR1 and especially Undead Nightmares.
At least after I'd fiddled with settings
It's okay to play for fun ...
Other then that it's brilliant
