They want to cut USPS - so they can own it.

They want to cut Amtrak - so they can own it.

They want to cut Social Security - so they can force you to use private financial firms more.

They want to cut Medicare and the VA - so they can force you to use private healthcare more.

Railroads were privately owned, but since they didn't make $$ for the owners, they were acquired by the government - which doesn't have shareholders who need dividends. Postal Service doesn't turn a profit, but it provides a vital service at a reasonable cost - something a for-profit company cannot.
