And I've heard nothing about their being more environmentally friendly, just cheaper to run. Not necessarily the same thing. They still all need to disappear.
That's what I was thinking, like yeah one half of the issue is somewhat resolved(At least a little bit anyway), but we still have the plagiarism problem to deal with.
Hey, if the US government is so concerned about people using Chinese apps, this would be a good opportunity for them to prove it XD
But they’ve figured out how to launder the plagiarism machine so instead of direct plagiarism, it’s plagiarizing another plagiarism machine. Innovation!
Their are 8 billion people if you think your thoughts are all that unique you are wrong and if all human writing, coursework, notes etc were recorded, translated to a single searchable database searching for plagiarism nothing would ever be able to be written again without weeks of edits
Nobody cares about IP un/fairly incorporated into LLMs. They’re a toy to show some economic utility of nascent AI. It’s the start of an arms race that the world needs America to win. People rooting for China are hopelessly ignorant.
nobody cares about it except, for example, the very person you're replying to who has found their work rattling around in AI slop. nobody cares except pretty much every creative around. do you think i'm somehow rooting for china too? or do i sound like someone saying "all of this sucks"?
I mean nobody involved with developing it. FWIW, I do care about artists being paid for their work.
And yeah, there’s a bunch of people hoping for the downfall of the broligarchs. I’m saying there’s a big difference between creepy geeks and real tyrants.
