Businesses and cities don't want to have marks like this on their walls. They all have a vested interest to paint it over, and they can get it professionally done. Adding more paint just makes the removal/paintover process harder.

Obfuscating the original hate symbol, even by connecting the lines to make a window pane, means you've neutered the hate symbol when if you left it alone there still would be a swastika outline once a gas station or city employee does the old Landlord Special and just paints a single coat over it.

Removal chemicals and pressure washing removes graffiti from stone and concrete. Sometimes sprays and sponges are all that's necessary.

That presumes a well-funded person with time is doing the cover-up, which I think we both know is not how it works consistently in the real world. Just because there are effective ways at removing graffiti does not mean they are consistently used or used well.

Carrying a simple pride flag color scheme can go a long way for fast cover up, especially the tricolor flags!
