Just be like Balan Wonderworld where it doesnt tell you that the button you used to go to the pause menu is the same one you use to back out of a sub-menu instead of the B button

Sure, start and select had lost their meaning, but you know what's less user friendly than that? A touch pad button. Unlabelled, unceremonious, in your face, could be replaced by a select button in 99% of games
