And better to do it before you get sick and have to. I've been recovering from a cold, draped over the sofa like a Jane Austen character, and it was lovely for about 48 hours and then I'm like, Damn, I need to DO SOMETHING.
So, what if I did this BEFORE my body gave out? Hmm?
Yes. The current paradigm views everything through a profit and productivity lens. Activities that don't directly add to profit/productivity are seen as undesirable. I personally think that paradigm is imbalanced trash.
Studies on pre-agricultural tribes show that the most commonly performed activity is not hunting, gathering, cooking, etc. it's nothing. We, like most mammals, tend to spend a lot of time just chilling

Resting is an activity. Resting is something.
We are not what we produce!
Your body and mind often need that downtime to recharge and rejuvenate.
Embrace those moments of rest, they're essential for your well-being. 🌟
