There isn’t an embargo on products from the US. This is a spontaneous “citizens embargo”. Added benefit, we don’t pay a tariff if we don’t buy US products.

we have had free trade for almost 40 years so it can't stop on a dime; what consumers stop buying, they will eventually stop ordering, and many stores have already begun looking for alternate sources for products especially fresh produce not in season
