For years, and in stark contrast to Ireland's national parks, Glengarriff Wood Nature Reserve has been a shining example of how ecosystems CAN be put first.

Are there, or have there ever been, beavers in Ireland?
Beavers have been successfully reintroduced in the UK, but no such projects have been implemented here so far. https://iwt.ie/the-case-for-beavers-in-ireland/
