So I'm already using Shinigami Eyes, which highlights red links assosciated with transphobia. We're gonna need a one that highlights all the Trump-Quislings yellow.
Not giving Trump or DeWine any pass here, but the administration of UToledo has wanted to cut most of this for literally years but wasn't able to due to backlash. They don't think arts and humanities are profitable and they run the place like a business first and foremost.
They seized the current climate to make the changes wanted for years and can blame someone else. No different than all the tariff chaos giving companies the a cover to raise prices even if they aren't affected.
This is more toxic capitalism in action than anything.
That one actually confuses me. Geology is one of those things that the Rs usually like, because it's helpful for drilling for oil. I wonder how that got on the list.
There are also specific degrees in Petroleum Geology that are generally favored a lot more than a general Geology degree for hiring in the O&G industry.
I was speaking to someone the other day who believed with every fiber of his being the earth is 8,000 years old ( elderly Church of Christ man)- this tracks.
I think this was probably an excuse to cut dead-weight programs since it’s primarily an engineering and business college. You don’t go to UToledo to get an M.Div lol
It does seem to look like that; however, what’s so crazy to me is they’re leaving all 9 of the programs as minors. They aren’t wildly popular courses (15 grads ‘23-‘24), but they’re retaining the profs(at least this is my understanding).
Heard about this last night, what a fucking joke! All the public universities in Ohio have already been beaten into submission by governor dewiner and his cronies. Now dumpf comes in for the kill.

richly deserved.
It makes a lot more sense when you realize these same people are pushing GenAI as a substitute for art.
