JUST IN: Judge George O'Toole has restored Trump's "Fork in the Road" deferred resignation program. He says the unions lacked standing to sue and his court didn't have jurisdiction over the dispute. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.mad.280398/gov.uscourts.mad.280398.66.0.pdf

There is no money to pay after March
The judge is a moron tumpie POS
Something smells fishy here.
Hard to believe unions representing employees would not have standing. Perhaps related to jurisdiction issue
I would put them in a writers' circle room & challenge them with writing something about what is happening here
In a court of law, a party to a lawsuit is distinguished as to whether it a group/organization or an individual, and judges make assessments about standing for the former vs the latter.
As you say, standing concerns who has the right to bring a lawsuit. Saying the union does not have standing does not foreclose. others. 1/2
In every matter, I want to see justice done. I get this gut feeling when it comes to justice/what's right & I am working from that basis. I am convinced about what is evil like anyone
Standing is a more "technical" issue in a way, so is harder for lay person to understand. I wanted to make sure ppl knew this ruling doesn't necessarily signal this is end of road. I appreciated your comment.
