The briefcase has a strong association with "business", but now, kind of like the floppy disk symbolizing "save", it's not something you actually see much in the real world.

A ubiquitous example would be the little silhouette of an office building π¬. But generally it depends on the type of business, as every field has its own iconographic(worthy) associations.
