I was very disappointed that Biden gave his word and then broke it. He did the wrong thing as a president.

However he did the right thing as a father. It's likely that Jill and him had a little chat and concluded that Hunter's well being was more important.

I agree, but I think that he was forced to this decision after knowing that his son would be persecuted otherwise. I agree that he did the right thing as a parent. Any loving parent would look at the possible future and do so. There are many who committed the same crime and will never even be fined.

Circumstances changed. If Biden was going to be President for another term he wouldn’t have pardoned his son. He had to in current times for his son’s safety. Two of his children have already died. Hunter wasn’t deemed to be above the law. He was given leniency from the cruel and unjust punishment that was being threatened. Hunter paid back all of his taxes, with interest, and he tried to buy a firearm as an addict. His punishment wouldn’t have fit the crime. Biden did the right thing.

As an independent I respectfully disagree. Hunter committed a crime that hurt no one else. But because of his name he was punished more than others would be, as well as accused of crimes he didn’t commit. If Biden was in for another 4 yrs it would have been different. But circumstances have changed.
