He said economic security. He wants the minerals and oil. Greenland / Dk has banned most mining, so he can only undo that if he owns the land. So the attempted election meddling from him and musk is to try and push Greenland away from Denmark and into USAs arms.

The problem here is the "elites" in Greenland would benefit from this while the general population wouldn't. And they have had some problems with corruption and nepotism among them like anywhere. But they just need to convince the average people they would be better off under America 😬
