Interesting thing is that 99.99% of people focus on the less important part of this story, which is the security breach and they are mean on Europe, and don't focus on the most important part, which is none of this conversations end up in official anals, where they can be later reviewed.

This is actually a serious point - the US is going to find out at some point, still a year or three out, that when you throw your soft power out of the window you lose control of what others do. And that will be a dangerous moment that i hope the world will be prepared for.

Cognitive dissonance's epitome. "USA is the greatest" yet everybody is taking advantage of it, especially the EU. "US will be respected" yet the criticism from EU doesn't stop. Merit based hires only, no more DEI, yet amateur hour galore every day. So tiresome to keep entertaining this circus.
