You might add in some Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind & Fire to that! Also, just a thought: the 60s were freakin' gold for ass shaking music. Sam & Dave, Aretha Franklin, Booker T & the MGs, Temptations, James Brown, Otis Redding, Shirelles, Ronettes, etc. My first and forever loves.

Well, hooray! I worked in the music industry from 1975 - 1989. I saw a ton of great acts, heard so much great music, and lived through what I selfishly think of as the glory years of the industry. All that music is still my go-to.
