This is what's so exhausting about the current moment: constantly having to decide whether this is an actual person, whether anyone wrote this paper I'm grading, whether this "news source" actually exists, if this is my bank or a scammer. It's maddening. Like, it will literally drive us all mad.

Add ubiquitous surveillance (like all that bodycam footage in Ohio that's pay-to-play only) and you don't have to worry about most forms of popular uprising.
That was more than 10 years ago, it's so much worse now.
I hate all of this.
