That's skipping a bunch of steps that would normally happen before such an attack though???

Like the degradation of political relationships - NATO is an organized body, they'd eject the member then vote on next actions which requires a unanimous decision in cases of war.

Entering trade contracts with members of the EU is not joining the EU. It is doing business with the EU which is just what the US did before they shit in their nest.

The only country talking about attacking other countries is the US. Starve them out. They’ve made their intentions clear. If you have something they want, they are prepared to take it by force. They ARE the enemy.

If a NATO country attacks another member country, the allies would defend the country under attack. Article 5 is not negated based on the membership status of the aggressor. The aggressor would be kicked out of NATO, which may be the goal here.
