When the troll in question is the president of the United States and his actions reinforce that he believes he is a king, we shouldn’t ignore it. Smart politicians will understand Americans reflexively hate the idea of a monarchy and leverage that.

Every generation of my family has served in the U.S. military since the War for Independence. If Trump invades Canada I will go north and point my gun south. Canada will not be the 51st state bc Americans like me will sign up to defend it.

I would simply abuse parliamentary procedure to holler this into a microphone or bullhorn repeatedly on the House and / or Senate floors until Republicans forcibly removed me, thus bringing more attention to the sentence I was hollering.

Every country that has survived democratic backsliding or even a coup attempt has done so by a very aggressive pro-democracy movement. We have no such movement in the USA. We have a bunch of anti-whateverthefuck and 'antifa' protests.
