We are renting so we can’t paint but my stuff is colorful. It helps that I thrift old stuff, can reupholster or make anything, and married someone from South Asia who thinks beige houses are weird lol

The Abolitionists debated whether or not a new constitution should have been written. I wish they’d rewritten it during Reconstruction when Confederates were barred from office. I don’t think we’ll get an opportunity to do it now.

It goes well with the blah “muted colors” everyone is painting their house. We need to bring back the 80s. Appropriate some eastern cultures. Literally anything to introduce a non dystopian color palette 🤣

I thought he was smart until the Thai cave situation. That revealed a whole lot about him.

I think that between floating the ideas that we should acquire Canada and/or Greenland and trying to surrender Ukraine to Putin, we may already be there.

This is like the 7th one to get arrested again, plus at least one who died.

Respected historians do not fixate on IQ numbers, we only recognize that evil people are often intelligent and that's how they carry out atrocities. Also, I've just learned that my IQ is higher than Elon Musk 🤣

He looks like he went shopping from a vending machine. That god awful necklace clearly cost 25 cents and came out of an egg.

This seems like something they should address. Nothing speaks to quality of product more than constantly seeing ads for products you just bought, some expensive and expected to last a long time. Is this such crap I’m going to need another soon?

My son

I’ve done the same twice with my son and our dogs. Worth every mile and we will never forget it. Glad you got to experience this too 😁

The least educated and dumbest people in America have a visceral reaction to monarchies. If you can’t rally behind “he’s calling himself a king and America has no kings” you don’t deserve to be in politics.

My professors adjusted it after the fact and put in the the test instructions that’s what would happen so please don’t freak out and send hundreds of emails lol

AI cannot replace historians. It doesn't even have access to research archives, a substantial amount of primary sources, and material that you must pay for. At best it can answer basic questions on a middle to high school level. Now I'd *like* if it could transcribe sources for me but it can't.

If a NATO country attacks another member country, the allies would defend the country under attack. Article 5 is not negated based on the membership status of the aggressor. The aggressor would be kicked out of NATO, which may be the goal here.

Other stores almost always have what I need and I’m finding some nice alternatives too.

So you’re going to set them up with jobs then? You’ve verified that you can quit your job and still receive unemployment? You know for a fact they aren’t actively looking for other jobs?

Are you offering to pay their bills?

Same 😂

I’m going to be a wet blanket here and say 3 days isn’t enough when you factor in jet lag.

I like having a kitchen when we are there for a week but I’ll be using a different short term rental service from now on.

They’ve been doing it for years already, just running the ads before the show.

Demonstrating FOR democracy is a step too far for Orlando apparently.

The sad thing is I really like her takes on current events, pop culture, politics, etc. I'm TIRED of hearing about that blowjob though.
comment in response to post
As a resident of Orlando, this is what people really think. "Oh, I'll just stay with Jen since she lives near Disney." (I live 30 miles from Disney). I don't have a guest room and part of that is it's tiring only hearing from people when they want to save money on hotels.

But here's the thing... he wants to humiliate every media outlet who is not actively kissing his ass 24 hours a day. Also, when your coverage of the press is "well, DT got mad at us for asking questions" without critique, you are training an entire generation to think this is normal and acceptable.
comment in response to post
There is no need for journalists to have access to something that is televised live. Instead of covering what DT says, cover how his policies harm Americans. Cover the chaos. The only reason this is difficult is if you are trying to cover this AND kiss his ass.
comment in response to post
Unfortunately, most media outlets did not learn their lesson and have continued highly problematic coverage of dictators, terrorists, and strongmen for decades. The way to solve this problem is to threaten their bottom line. Cover DT fairly or go bankrupt.

Whether you were sucking up to Hitler to sell cars or writing favorable pieces to sell newspapers makes no difference. And whether you are sucking up to DT for government contract or for a sound bite makes no difference now.
comment in response to post
In the 1930s, newspapers wrote about how Hitler was a strong and capable leader who got things done quickly. The NYT wrote a now famous fluff piece on his mountain chalet. They wrote about the "prosperity" of Germany under Hitler.

Then you’ll really like this… I was their vendor for Covid cleaning their stores and distribution centers. It was a measure to protect employees. They spent millions for a service the public never saw bc it was done after hours.
comment in response to post
Costco was one of my National clients at a previous job. They do a good job taking care of their employees and they are very respectful of vendors as well and pay their invoices on time.

I’m 43. This is what close ties to this administration does to your skin. You rot from the inside out.

Elon has whatever dirt Russia has on Trump. Probably more. I can't imagine any other scenario where a narcissist who thinks he has unlimited power would tolerate a small child speaking to him that way, especially knowing the kid didn't think of it all on his own.

As a historian I generally do not think things that caused mass violence and death of millions of people is a success story much less something to replicate.

But also, historically 'antifa' is made up mostly of communists, socialists, and generally people who do not believe in either democracy or the republican structure of democracy. 'Antifa' cannot lead a pro-democracy movement with the goal of saving American democracy.
comment in response to post
It is literally a question they ask during green card interviews. I believe it is also on the application as well but I'd have to go back and look.
comment in response to post
Keep in mind, the first DT admin wanted to designate 'antifa' as a terrorist group. Regardless of the accuracy of that thought process, that means that immigrants and their families should not be present at those protests. A condition of being in the USA is not being associated with terrorists.

The people who say they are genetically superior always look like their parents are siblings. They have to keep saying they're superior because our eyes would tell us a very different story.

It takes a few days for mail ballots to be opened and counted, which is why it takes a minute to update those systems. The narrative that votes aren't being counted, the bomb threats, etc, is all designed to sow doubt in our elections so neither side will accept a losing result.
