If you were wondering how my year has been so far (and it's OK if you haven't) then "decided to do an embroidery journal and is somehow still keeping up with it" about covers the parts that the journal itself doesn't.

I do! I've really enjoyed doing it. My life is pretty routine and not what you'd call dynamic or exciting, and it's been a lovely way to find little unique spots in each day.
this is great. are you working off of some sort of pattern or just winging it? (and by pattern I mean more of a key where you can pick your own items, because obviously this is bespoke to you)
Just winging it! Holidays, things I see around, anything noteworthy. I've been less good about keeping track of why I picked each picture, but I think I remember most of them still. Had fun messing with different styles and stitches in miniature, to varying success. Highly recommend it!
aaaa i love this :3 journaling through art is so cool, as both an artist and a writer ive always just written out journals, but ive never thought about doing anything like this!!
Woah, congrats! Long projects like that always feel so daunting to me, I get second-hand joy from seeing others keep up with stuff. It's so cute, too! Amazing work.
My trick has been trying to note down ideas for days I don't have time to work on it, keeping up with drawing the icons on even if I don't have time to sew them yet, and not freaking out if I let a week (or more...) build up. I actually found it easier/less inner shame-y than a paper diary!
That was a work thing actually, but Poland is on my list of places to visit for sure! (And being in Germany, I don't really have any excuse not to hop over, since it's right there...)

Though I'm curious on what certain images on the current one mean...
This is the coolest thing I've seen all day!
