the news here isn't that tesla cybertrucks have been recalled (again, for the eighth time), but that we still have "u.s. safety regulators."

Also notable that the recall is for minor unscheduled disassembly and not door opening mechanisms that fail to operate when the vehicle is on fire.
Given the increase in spontaneous combustion incidents, one would think functioning doors might be a priority.
