Why has there been no response to ICE being used in religious places and schools from church or other leadership? The Catholic Church is a place of sanctuary. That's what I was taught.

Both the US Council of Bishops and many many mainstream Protestants and Jewish organizations have said stuff. That said, they are nowhere near as forceful on this as abortion, and I have no idea if there's been any pastoral letters sent to read at homilies (which there should be.)
