Very strange for Starmer to claim "Churchill didn't do it [pick sides]". Didn't he side with America against Nazi Germany?

Yup.

Not picking sides is being neutral, like Switzerland or Ireland was to extend the ww2 comparison.

Starmer is not being neutral towards Trump, between the flattery and state invitation etc its a policy of appeasement.

Most famously represented by Chamberlain.

How can he 'like and respect' a convicted felon who is systematically destroying ALL rights for LGBTQ+ communities, shipping off immigrants to foreign prisons, openly insulting the President of a foreign country that has been at war with Putin for three years. Starmer is beyond a disappointment! 😡

Have you considered that this isn't diplomatic flattery? That instead he's simply speaking his truth? He actually likes and respects a racist wannabe dictator that threatens his neighbours and allies whilst siding with Putin?

It's far more scary if we assume this is Starmer's honest opinion.
